It is now 1621. For the first time, the settlers of Plymouth and the Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast together. Today, the day is recognized as one of the earliest Thanksgiving celebrations in the colony. Every year on the fourth Thursday in November, Americans come together for a day of feasting, football, and family...and the food menu will be improved. Families gather around the table and enjoy delicious stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. After all, this is a festival dedicated to eating food. Thanksgiving meals are so hearty that we have leftovers for many days after dinner.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are finally here, and the deals are too good to miss. However, apart from eating, shopping and watching the parade, Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks. On this day, we thank all we have, showcase our Women Jewelry, and honor all who make it happen. Say thanks to your best friends, super dads, loving moms, supportive siblings, and loyal companions. That's what the holidays are all about.
Gratitude is so important in our lives, not just Thanksgiving. We need to make time every day to reflect on all the blessings we have received and how wonderful life can be. Take a moment this Thanksgiving to see your family and friends and thank them for the light and love earrings they bring into your life.
